A significant part of the work of Mengage is mentoring work –  training for adults and work in schools with a focus on enabling older, responsible boys to mentor younger ones. Improving and directing  boys’ academic or vocational potential is an aim, but there is also a focus on character building, making connections, and caring for others as part of a workshop exploring what makes a mentor.

Usually feedback is from adult attendees, so it’s great to receive a write-up on Mengage’s work from the perspective of a young man, in this instance a Year 9 student at Middlewich High School, Cheshire. You can read the short write-up on the school’s website here.
