What goes around…
In the early noughties when the curse of commissioning hadn’t yet blighted public health work and health promotion departments and youth services flourished, the Gloucestershire Boys and Young Men Network provided a multi agency localised network of professionals working on young men’s issues with training and workshops, conference hosting, resource development and guidance on ‘what works’.
Part of that work involved a now defunct and dated website offering downloadable resources including Guidelines for Good Practice for Working with Boys and Young Men. The guidelines were adapted in 2003 by GBYMN from guidelines originally produced (2002) by the South West Boys and Young Men Curriculum Development Group. We think that they are still relevant and useful today and should continue to be freely available. We’ve uploaded them to our Courses and Resources menu.
You can view them here.
